Kathleen Velo uses primarily pinhole and plastic cameras to create her photos. She paints on her photographs with oil paints to create dreamlike images evoking memories and ethereal experiences.

Kathleen holds a BFA in sculpture, an MA in Art Education and an MFA in Photography; she has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. She teaches photography at Pima Community College, in Tucson.
